Pin up Fan
Another NYOBC (Not Your Ordinary Book Club) challenge. The theme was summer. Our packet included paper, stickers and ribbon. It would have made a nice scrapbook page but I needed to do something different.
Fan: I cut fan blades out of chip board.
Papers: Vintage pin up pictures were copied onto paper from the packet and glued to the front of the chip board fan blades. I didn’t have enough of the watermelon seed paper (provided in the packet) so I drew seeds and red paper to match, cut and glued them to the back of the fan blades.
Connections: Grommets were inserted in the upper corners.
Chain: The chain on the back of the fan keep the blades from opening too far.
Connections: The bottom of the blades are held together with a scrap book album screw post.
Bottom Decorations: Metal shell earring, silk ribbon and other broken jewelry parts.
Everything is accentuated with Ranger Distress inks.
